凯特琳·塞奇,20届 chose Shenandoah for the nursing program, but made the switch to public health after two years.
During her time at Shenandoah, Sage learned how to become her own person, and spending time with her friends was one of her fondest memories. “They made the whole experience even better than it already was,” said Sage.
塞奇为 Winchester Public Schools as a teaching assistant for high-needs special education classrooms. 作为她角色的一部分, she assists children with autism and other developmental delays in getting an education in a public school. 圣人州, “that the most rewarding experience of her career has been watching the progress of the kids she works with.”
Before working for Winchester Public Schools, Sage worked as a direct support professional for two different companies and as a case manager.
Sage attributes her Shenandoah education to helping her find her true path. 她说, “It brought me to where I am, I would have never found my passion without my public health degree.”
Sage’s advice to current and future students is: “Don’t give up, I know it sounds cliche; but you will have really rough days and really good days. If you need to change your major, do it. Never stop exploring your opportunities.”
